Scheduled Runs - Coval Documentation

Scheduled runs automatically launch evaluations on a recurring basis using a run template and a schedule expression. create and update also accept --input-json (inline JSON, @file, or - for stdin); explicit flags override fields from the JSON. See Input JSON.

List Scheduled Runs

coval scheduled-runs list [OPTIONS]

Option	Type	Default	Description
`--filter`	string	—	Filter expression
`--page-size`	number	50	Results per page
`--order-by`	string	—	Sort order
`--enabled`	boolean	—	Filter by enabled status (`true` or `false`)
`--template-id`	string	—	Filter by run template ID

Output columns: ID, NAME, TEMPLATE, SCHEDULE, TIMEZONE, ENABLED, LAST RUN

# List only enabled schedules
coval scheduled-runs list --enabled true

# Filter by template
coval scheduled-runs list --template-id rt_abc123

Get Scheduled Run

coval scheduled-runs get <scheduled_run_id>

Create Scheduled Run

coval scheduled-runs create [OPTIONS]

Option	Type	Required	Description
`--name`	string	Yes	Display name
`--template-id`	string	Yes	Run template to execute
`--schedule`	string	Yes	Schedule expression: `rate(value unit)` or a six-field `cron(minutes hours day-of-month month day-of-week year)` (see below)
`--timezone`	string	No	IANA timezone (default: UTC)
`--enabled`	boolean	No	Whether the schedule is active

Schedule expressions

The API accepts two formats:

Format	Examples
`rate(value unit)` — unit is `minutes`, `hours`, or `days`	`rate(15 minutes)`, `rate(1 hour)`, `rate(1 day)`
`cron(minutes hours day-of-month month day-of-week year)` — six fields; use `?` for the unused day field	`cron(0 9 ? * MON-FRI )` (9am weekdays), `cron(0 2 ? * *)` (2am daily)

Plain five-field cron strings such as 0 9 * * * are rejected.

Update Scheduled Run

coval scheduled-runs update <scheduled_run_id> [OPTIONS]

# Disable a schedule

# Change schedule to hourly
coval scheduled-runs update sr_abc123 --schedule "rate(1 hour)"

# Point the schedule at a different template
coval scheduled-runs update sr_abc123 --template-id rt_def456

Delete Scheduled Run

coval scheduled-runs delete <scheduled_run_id>
